The Libertyville Stars Swim Club provides competitive swim training and competition for individuals 8 years and older who have developmental disabilities and qualify for Special Olympics. If you are interested in joining the team, please contact Coach Tina at Tina.Lowry@d128.org.

New volunteer coaches are always welcome! If you are a high school competitive or club swimmer, at least 14 years of age, and would like to serve as a volunteer coach at our weekly LHS practices (on Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.), please contact Coach Tina Lowry at Tina.Lowry@d128.org.

  • Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run

    June 6th – On Day 2 of the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run (ILETR), Legs 6,7, 8 and 15 carried the flame and brought awareness of the strong and powerful athletes of Special Olympics Illinois. Libertyville Stars joined in two legs of the ILETR, including one athlete starting one of the legs at Sheridan and State Line. Nine athletes joined Libertyville Police Department to carry the torch through Libertyville on its way to the 2023 Summer Games. #GuardiansOfTheFlame #SpecialOlympicsIllinois #LibertyvilleStars
