On May 19th, Libertyville Stars athletes joined Libertyville Police Department at two Libertyville Dunkin’ Donuts locations for Cop on a Rooftop! Elwood, Libertyville Police Department Comfort Dog, was on duty today giving kisses, posing for pictures, and getting pets. In one day, over $925,000 was raised across 315 Dunkin’ Donuts locations for the 21,000 Special Olympics athletes in Illinois! Thank you for your support of Special Olympic athletes throughout the state!

Join us for our next Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run event on June 4th, as we run through downtown Libertyville with the Flame of Hope! The Flame of Hope will make it’s way through Downtown around 7:00am on Sunday, June 4th along the west side of Milwaukee Avenue (Lake Street to Cook Memorial Park with Libertyville Stars Athletes). Southbound traffic will be slower that day.

The Flame of Hope will officially light Special Olympic Illinois Summer Games on Friday, June 9th. Twenty-five athletes from Libertyville Stars will be competing this year closing out a very successful season!
