September 24 – The beautiful, new swimming pool at Libertyville High School was officially opened on Tuesday evening with an official ribbon cutting ceremony attended by District 128 members, community members, LHS mascot Willie the Wildcat, and Libertyville Mayor Terry Weppler.

District 128 Superintendent Prentiss Lea led the event, thanking the District 128 Board of Education, LHS Principal Tom Koulentes, LHS teachers and coaches, and builders for their many contributions to the project. A big group of parents and members of the Stars Swim Club were on hand to be part of the big event.
