Twenty four STARS athletes traveled to Normal, IL, for the 2023 Summer Games. The athletes competed in a total of 53 events winning:
22 Gold Medals (including 3 relays)
15 Silver Medals (including 1 relay)
2 Bronze Medals
12 Other finishes
and 1 participation (disqualification) ribbon
It was an incredible weekend-and once again, the Stars made us proud! Great swimming, great friendship, and great sportsmanship! CONGRATULATIONS TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU! A HUGE THANK YOU to all the coaches and assistant coaches, our two amazing volunteer peer coaches, and all the parents, family members and friends who were in Normal during the weekend of June 9-11 to support us! (And a special thanks to Flossmoor Police Officer Morris, who was handing out awards at the pool the entire meet!)
